SAN JOSE, CALIFORNIA – 1991. Sporting his modified “Kid n’Play” haircut, DeFOREST (DEE) GRANGER, a high-spirited, 21-year-old actor, seeks to expand his resume from local commercials to movies and television. Next stop... 1990s HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA . Dee’s arrival is met with success, but as a classically trained actor, he is comically disillusioned by the underwhelming roles he is cast in – gangbangers, drug dealers, plucky horror film victims, first casualty on a military patrol -- STEREOTYPICAL BLACK GUY BULLSHIT. Dee’s mother MARGARET GRANGER suggests that he learn the business of Hollywood in order to succeed in the business of Hollywood. This prompts Dee to abruptly quit the acting profession to become of all things...an intern at an untested talent agency.

Thrust into an unforgettable and hilarious adventure, Dee realizes that he has a TALENT for spotting TALENT, discovering precocious child-actors and eccentric performers of all ages. Ultimately, Dee strikes out on his own to become a TALENT MANAGER. Now, he is really in the shit. This is where Dee discovers his real superpower as he finds himself in the CORRIDORS OF THE POWER PLAYERS, brokering lucrative deals with conniving talent agents, eccentric casting directors, pretentious directors and strident producers, studio executives and music industry moguls.

Entangled in the lives of these entertainment professionals, Dee comes to the rescue saving them from themselves, resulting in hilarious and sometimes poignant adventures involving their personal drama, backstabbing, adultery, drugs and scandal.
