Belinda Dean is a Sydney based producer and founder of independent production company Confidante Pictures. She has over two decades experience producing and contributing to screen stories across multiple formats and genres, and is a foundation member of the all-female producing network, Screen Vixens.
From 2017-2021 Belinda produced several award-winning short films and short series through her youthful originals & branded content studio, unko. These included the new adult drama, Cloudy River, that premiered at the 2020 Queer Screen Mardi Gras Film Festival and is now available on SBS On Demand in their Rainbow Pride collection; uplifting doco The Funny Ones for ABC ME; the multi-award-winning Create NSW, SBS short film Joy Boy, and retro-futurist sci-fi, Weather Girl made for the Epic Games Unreal Engine Short Film Competition. And in 2019, Belinda was selected as a Screen Producers Association ‘Ones to Watch’.
In 2021, Belinda established Confidante Pictures as her move into long-form storytelling. She is working with several talented and diverse creatives on a slate of exciting film and TV projects and aims to bring these original and contemporary stories to the screen. For more information go to
