MJ Arzaga

A native New Yorker here! Moved to California in August 2021! My degree is in Theatre: Acting and Directing and have been doing both for 20+ years back in New York.

Favorite shows I directed were Mamma Mia and Shrek as well as Date Night ~ a love-fest of one-act comedies in which I had written one of those one-acts called National Love Championships! As an actor, some of my favorite roles are Christmas Eve (Avenue Q), Gigi (Miss Saigon), Svetlana (Chess), Acid Queen (The Who's Tommy), Connie Wong (A Chorus Line), Asaka & Mama Euralie (Once On This Island), Hermia (A Midsummer Night's Dream), Prudence (Beyond Therapy) and as The Indian Chief in Trey Parker's (creator of South Park) world premiere musical, Cannibal in NYC. However, my greatest role is being a mom to her amazing, Kyle, who is also an actor and studying it at Baldwin Wallace University in Ohio!

I would love to get into film and television but mostly I just want to act! I miss it!

I also started writing a TV series based on my love life and being a single mom but don't know what I'm doing or how to pitch it to a network!
I told a family friend, who is also a 2 time Emmy Award writer the premise of the tv show and she's not one to give out compliments and she loved it and said that I need to finish writing it! Again, I don't know what the hell I'm doing but would love to perhaps collaborate with someone who has experience in screenwriting and of course if they have the connections... even better! :)
