Marie was born in 1990 in Melbourne, moving to Queensland in 2002. She has been actively involved in studies of drama since 1996 and is well-known and loved amongst her acting community. Marie has significant experience and training, having been enrolled in the Young Australian Broadway Chorus for many years, and having trained with other respected dramatic, dance and voice coaches. Marie has been cast as the lead and supporting roles in numerous theatrical productions and student films, with her performances being highly acclaimed by critics. In 2009, as part of the Q150 celebrating Queensland’s 150th Birthday, Marie was selected by Youth Arts Queensland to represent 1 of 150 Young People Creating Queensland. Marie has also studied Byzantine music and is a mezzo-soprano.
