About Dike

Dike Samai is a Film Composer, Orchestrator, Steelpan Arranger, & Performer, from Trinidad and Tobago. He has worked on a number of award winning short and feature length films with local and international based directors, as well as written and recorded cues with foreign orchestras.

His academic qualifications include an MM, Music Composition: Screen Scoring from New York University (May, 2021), where he received a Fulbright scholarship to attend. a Certificate in Orchestration for Film & TV, from Berklee Online (2015), and a BA in Musical Arts from the UWI (upper 2nd hons. 2011). Because of his Caribbean background, Dike has set himself apart by utilizing the national instrument, the steelpan, in many of his scores.

The Witness Part 2 &3 (2015 - 2016)
by Triple Spade Studios Composer THE WITNESS is a Caribbean Story of forbidden love, deceit, greed, jealousy and murder. John is in a secret romantic relationship with a woman named Lorraine. Lorraine happens to be the wife of his best friend Randall. He finds himself in the closet, when Randall makes an unplanned home visit and witnesses Randall kill his wife. This murder reveals a web of hidden details from the past, which were concocted to conceal another murder that was committed and pinned on Randall because of his mental condition. In the end, murder after murder becomes the currency used to pay for the injustice wrought to Randall. John becomes a not so innocent bystander to this convoluted tragedy, which turns spouses and best friends against each other.
