Alun Richards

Alun Richards is the founder and owner of Cut & Paste Generation & Kwazi Mojo Media, a company representing Cut & Paste Generation (Music)(Audio Post Production) and Kwazi Mojo Records (Record Label). Alun is also a founding investor and shareholder in Bladeworks Post Production a leading player in high end end post facilities in South Africa. Alun is also a shareholder and director of the Waterfront Film Studios based at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town.

Alun has personally won a gamut of international awards for original music composition and sound design, including Cannes Grand Prix, Clio, The One Club, Silver Pencil DnAD's, LIAA and Loerie awards. He is one of South Africa's most prolific score writers having composed in excess of 6000 TV commercials to date (2014). Alun has composed for several Feature Films including but not limited to, Number 10 (2005), Dollars & White Pipes (2006), Lullaby (2007), Discreet (2009), The Message (2014) & 204 Getting Away With Murder (2014). Alun has just been nominated for best feature film Sound Design and Sound Mixing at the 2014 SAFTA's for both 'Of Good Report' and 'Sleepers Wake'. Holding thumbs!!

Alun's goals are to continue creating music scores, sound design and soundtracks of the highest international standards for Feature Film, TV and digital media markets.To grow the respective companies and to facilitate the nurturing of new talent into the industry, and to always be on the lookout for new opportunities that present themselves.
