As a Occupational Safety Officer I am responsible for inspecting assigned employers premises to ensure that a safe work environment is being maintained, that work procedures and practices are consistent with modern accident prevention techniques, that first aid services and equipment meet current criteria, that no potential safety or health hazards to workers are permitted to exist, that employers and workers are apprised of their responsibilities, for writing orders on all noted infractions of the regulations published by the Workers' Compensation Board in compliance with the Workers' Compensation Act, conducting research, participating in seminars, lecturing on Accident Prevention; and advising employers, workers, and professional personnel on matters related to accident prevention.
