LOGLINE:

When an emotionally unstable detective learns her boyfriend is married, cheating husbands become her target, as she embarks on a mission to show the world that adultery is wrong.

SYNOPSIS:

After years of mental and physical abuse by her overly-religious grandfather, Detective Leslie Eubanks has a life she finally loves. With some coaxing from her friends, she joins a dating site and meets the man of her dreams, Kevin Wallace. Leslie adores Kevin, and believing that they have a future together, she not only gives him her heart, but also her virginity. But all of it is taken away when she learns Kevin is married with children, and to make matters worse, she is pregnant. Overwhelmed with guilt for committing adultery, the mentally fragile Leslie has visions of her grandfather, who condemns her for being a sinner like her mother. Sleepless nights and stress causes Leslie to miscarry. Angry and traumatized, she sets out on a mission to show the world that adultery is wrong. Leslie uses a fake dating site profile to lure her victims in. She makes arrangements to meet her dates at restaurants on the outskirts of the city, where she watches them from her truck. Once seated, she calls, letting them know she has broken down and needs help. But when they come to her aid, she incapacitates them with a stun gun and takes them and their vehicle out to her farm. Suspended over a large barrel of water, the men are baptized and drowned, as a video camera rolls. To hide her murderous ways, the bodies are put through a wood chipper and fed to the pigs, she buries their cars. As lead detective on the case, Leslie works closely with fellow detectives, including Detective Summers, who is secretly obsessed with her. And while Leslie’s dark pursuit of moral justice gains her a worldwide Internet following as “Soul Saver”, her inability to find the culprit brings in a FBI profiler, Agent Brad Dempsey, to help investigate the crimes. Leslie strikes up a friendship with Dempsey, who is initially unaware of her role in the deaths, until she kills again, and it is witnessed by Kevin, so she has to kill him too. But Kevin is the one person who can be tied back to her, and Dempsey, who has grown suspicious of her behavior, starts to piece incriminating evidence that connects her to the murders. Leslie knows it’s all unraveling and goes to her farm to take her own life. She sends a “goodbye” text to Dempsey, who races to the farm, but someone has tampered with his brakes and runs him off the road. As Leslie hangs from the rafter, Detective Summers comes to her rescue. He tells her that he knows she is Soul Saver and he has killed Dempsey to protect her. But when he shares his true feelings for her, Leslie rebukes them, which infuriates Summers. They struggle -- Leslie shoots him dead. Leslie turns in her resignation to her boss, who asks her to stay on to help solve the Soul Saver case, but she declines. She grabs her box of belongings off of her desk and goes.
