SYNOPSIS:

“THE EXPECTED” is a supernatural thriller, set in present day and takes place mainly within the dark confines of a mansion, where nothing is as it seems, and no one is who they appear to be. Bringing out a classic horror theme, with a brand new twist. Justin Cain, a kind-hearted man, with a tragic past, and nine other passengers, awaken on an abandoned bus, having no memory of who they are, or why they are there. Terrified, the group seeks refuge within a mansion. Tensions rise and tempers flare within the group, especially between Justin and Albert Wells, an arrogant, selfish, and dangerous individual. Before it can escalate, they notice that the bus is gone. To make matters worse, the front entrance is locked, and windows reinforced. Now trapped, they must seek another way out. What appears to be an abandoned house soon becomes the setting for terror, as Justin is haunted by visions of dead children, while the other passengers see their own unique and horrific hauntings, as one by one they are taken away by the apparitions. Justin struggles to keep everyone safe, and find out the reason behind this madness. Eventually, Justin becomes the sole survivor, and is met by an old and sinister man known only as “The Caretaker.” He reveals the truth to Justin, by showing him a vision of the past; to pay for his daughter’s cancer treatments, Justin robbed a bank as a last resort, with help from his partner, Albert. With the police approaching, Albert decided to take a bus with children onboard, hostage. Overcome with guilt, Justin commandeered the bus from Albert trying to save the children, but lost control and inadvertently drove it into a ditch, causing the deaths of everyone onboard. Justin finds the answer he was searching for, but the truth is more horrifying than he could ever imagine. That he’s dead and the bus that he had woken up from was a ferry to this new, dark reality, and the visions that haunted him and the group are victims they had killed in their past lives, and here they patiently wait, expecting to punish the ones responsible for their deaths. “THE EXPECTED” is a terrifying, and twisted story of revenge, murder, and survival. That there are always prices to be paid for their actions, even in death.
