SYNOPSIS:

The Corporate Klan - A warning to American CEO's

When a black American executive (Carl 49) takes a high-profile position in a major corporation, covert internal racism surfaces in this true story. Carl is a hard worker with a passion and dedication to his work on behalf of police officers. After a few months on the new job he begins to notice a racial tension in the workplace. Envious upper managers begin to resent his work ethic and see him as a treat to the status quo. He is well liked by his co-workers and they look up to him as a leader.

An internal scheme is covertly launched by upper management. Part of the scheme is to make false claims of embezzlement, forgery and accuse Carl of taking kickbacks from police departments and government officials. As the investigation is launched Carl becomes quietly outraged at the strange questions and false accusations. No proof is ever provided, and he feels guilty until proven innocent. One evening Carl is contacted by the company's HR department, and asked unusual questions about his contacts at police departments in Michigan and his whereabouts on certain dates. Carl smells a rat and launches his own investigation into the company and its corporate culture and accounting practices. Carl had always suspected the company had a culture that was steeped in an obsession for revenue at any cost.

His concern about the ongoing investigation of his activities was his turning point supercharging his determination to clear his name. Carl knew he had done nothing wrong and would not rest until he proved the allegations against him wrong. Risking everything Carl turns into a corporate spy working long into the night for months gathering over 33,000 documents. For nine months Carl uses a covert secret network backdoor to access the company's computer network. His investigation provides proof that the company is stealing from the nation's police departments by not paying for automobile accident reports as required under law enforcement contracts. During the company investigation, the discrimination intensifies. He is skipped over for promotions, left out of key company meetings, isolated, and treated as an outcast, he is one of few blacks in the company.

Months later at a sales meeting, Carl overhears two executives in a conversation about the company covertly getting accident reports from police departments, and not paying for them. That statement confirmed everything Carl learned from the accounting records. Carl decides to become a federal whistle-blower. He contacts the federal government and exposes his findings. His efforts result in the uncovering of $18 million the firm had stolen from the nation's police departments. The company is forced to pay back the ill-gotten profits. Carl is awarded over two million dollars for coming forward and exposing corporate corruption. The Corporate Klan shoud be a warning to every CEO in America.
