Todd Scott Miller

After 30 years in the industrial automation industry, at the tender age of 46, I decided to chase my lifelong dream of becoming an actor and filmmaker. I started with an Improv class and an intense workout program that helped me lose about 100 pounds. My first official acting job was for the Academy Sporting Goods Christmas commercial in 2020. Since then I have done several short films in the Austin and Atlanta as well as a few feature films. I also am currently enrolled in the MFA for Motion Picture and Television at Academy or Art University.

Several years ago, I started a podcast called the "7th Inning Stretch," which was primarily about the idea that midlife is not the point to slow down and think about retiring, but the point to reassess what you plan to do with the rest of your life. That led me down this path as I felt like it is better to show than to tell. Now I post the occasional video about my journey and usually share about it on my social sites, the good, the bad, and the ugly. My goal being to encourage others to pursue their dreams at any point in life.

My very first podcast was talking about using an annual motto rather than a resolution...a kind of vision statement for the year. My first one being discipline and consistency, which is the foundation for all change as well as my personal health transformation. I have had a new one each year with 2023 being "Level up." Working the plan.

A little about me...My wife and I will have been married 30 years in June. We have three grown children. Two are married. One is graduated from college. None are completely off my payroll. In addition to the MFA that I am pursuing, I have an MBA and a MA in Theology. I also teach management as an adjunct at HCU, and my new favorite hobby that I developed from my Sound Design class is to sit in the backyard with my mic and listen to the world. I have heard some interesting things already.
