Karen Donnelly

A lifelong passion for theater, fine as well as visual arts, Karen Donnelly, brings a unique expression to her work on the MSP team. Raised in Brooklyn with recent years in New Orleans, she is now a Los Angeles resident as well as a producer and film consultant. Born deaf, Karen is a mentor, teacher, and advocate for deaf and hard of hearing children and adults alike. Karen attended Gallaudet University to study to become a teacher, yet her passion for theater migrated into advertising art. She graduated with a B.A. in Advertising Art with a minor in T.V., Film & Photography. She continued her education with a Master's degree in Deaf Education to teach deaf and hard hearing children.
For her passion, Karen has been influenced by filming scenes while working behind the scenes being a stage mom with her son and with her sister as a Director of Photography. She honed her skill for an acting career with Paul Schackman's drama school for Actor's Instinct.
Karen is currently active as an Associate Producer with Mermaid Signature Production company for a feature film titled "Implant" a groundbreaking sci-fi drama thriller that is presently in development.
