About Zakiya

I am a divorced mother of 4, who enjoys writing, drawing and painting as forms of expression. I also enjoy gardening and animals. I live in a brownstone in Manhattan with my family, which includes two adopted cats, two dogs and a gecko. I grew up in the city, as my parents decided to stay in the city, after meeting at Columbia University. I went to Bank Street School for Children and Manhattan College.
