About Dana

I am directing my first feature in December 2021 called Reflect. I am a dreamer and a doer. I write from the female perspective. I am mostly influenced by The Heroines Journey, Unified Physics, Philosophy, and Spirituality. My passions for filmmaking lie in the genres of horror, grounded sci-fi and drama. I crave open endings that implore the audience to think. I want to show the world what a true strong female is: someone who is vulnerable, one who burrows in to those dark places and scratches her way out of the other side, victorious. I want to inspire other young women and men to embrace their true self, come together as a community, and develop true connection.

Dana Kippel is a writer, director, producer and an actor, adopted out of Queens, Ny. She was raised in NY where she excelled in gymnastics and theatre, while experiencing severe bullying. She battled addiction & mental health in her teenage years, turned it around and started helping people in the mental health field throughout her twenties by studying psychology. She then went on to create her own delivery-only restaurant in two locations, sold it to a chain in Los Angeles when she moved from Palm Beach in 2019. Since moving to Los Angeles, she has starred in various indie films, national commercials, wrote and co-directed her first horror short (currently in the festival circuit), and is pursuing a multi-faceted career in Entertainment.
