About Craig

I am a South African born filmmaker currently living in Berkshire, UK. I studied Art Direction in college at Cape Town's City Varsity, and since then I have written and directed numerous short films and one feature.

I wrote my first feature screenplay more than 20 years ago, and since then I have honed my craft, able to breath life into my characters, and can detail action and settings that is concise. With each one I write I only get better. I love to write dialogue which is fun, but also gives clues to the psyche of my characters.

As of late I have been commissioned by production companies to write for them, a few of which have been produced, a number which are still in pre-production at this point. They are low-budget, and they are usually shot over the course of a week, but it allows me to write quickly, exploring characters and making them substantial in a short period of time. It also helps me to think of the entire story and how each scene will fit into its entirety.

The genres I write range from drama, to thriller, to sci-fi, to horror. But most importantly, I write people.
