About Lanie

Lanie Zipoy is a Memphis-born, New York-based producer, director and writer. Her recent feature film credits include April Flowers (starring Celina Jade, Jon Fletcher and Keir Dullea), I Can, I Will, I Did, (Nadine Truong, director; starring Mike Faist, Selenis Leyva and Ik Jo Kang) and the feature documentary Dog Camp. She is the co-founder of the DAMN! Film Series. Lanie produced the soon-to-be-released Kid Sister, George R. Carr’s experimental short film A Body Without A Head (New FilmMakers, Soho House) and served as publicist for Antonia Bogdanovich’s My Left Hand Man and Joel Fendelman’s Band of Sisters. Select theater producing credits include Laura Marks’ Bethany, starring America Ferrera, (Associate Producer, Women’s Project Theater); Voices Inside/Out starring Michael Shannon, Michael Chernus, Teddy Sears, Ashlie Atkinson; Mac Rogers’ Universal Robots (2009 ITBA Best Off-Broadway Play); Mari Brown’s 23 Feet in 12 Minutes (New Orleans and AFO Fest); Martin Blank’s The Law of Return and the Brooklyn premiere of Caroline, or Change. She was a Time Warner Foundation Fellow of the 2012-2014 Lab at Women’s Project Theater, NYC.
