Chelsea Makela

Chelsea Makela is the Head of the Head of the Literary Department and a Talent Manager at Discover Management in Los Angeles, California. Like many young artists Chelsea began performing in theatre & dramatic arts at a young age. She toured with a choir & sang at Carnegie Hall in New York City, NY at 13 years old.

Her career quickly took off in high school after filming a lead role in an AFI Women in Film project that went on to be distributed by BET & ASPIRE TV. After a short amount of time, she booked a lead role in the Paramount/MTV feature film "Dance Flick". This would allow her to work with & learn first hand from comedic & respected greats like: the Wayans Family, Affion Crockett, Al B.Sure & David Alan Grier.

Chelsea has worked in the Entertainment industry for over 18 years. She has collaborated, shadowed and worked with domestic and international brands like: Build-A-Bear, American Girl Doll, Kohl's, Happy Socks & various Non- Profits like:LA Ballet, Diablo Ballet: Northern, CA, SAMFund ( she was the: Head of Events & Locations for the Annual Gala & Fundraisers - a non-profit close to heart as she is a pediatric brain cancer survivor).

When Chelsea got the opportunity to manage her own talent roster & officially start the Literary Department at Discover Management she was more than honored. Since then she has had clients filming movies, collaborating with international brands, sold feature films & had multiple festival winning projects.
