Out-of-work auto-workers try to make a movie.
SYNOPSIS:
Hank Yeager, afraid he's losing his wife, desperate to start the family he's always dreamed of, enrolls himself and fellow laid-off auto-worker Corky Wilkenson in a training program to become movie grips.
Too bad they're terrible at it.
But that doesn't stop them from landing a job on a movie through sheer moxie...
And getting fired an hour and a half later.
Knowing his chances of ever being a father are dwindling by the minute, Hank proposes they make their own movie by sneaking onto the set and borrowing the equipment at night.
Amazingly, it works, with the help of Corky's teenaged son Danny--a budding, 17-year-old Godard--and the troubled young movie star--Tracy, 20--who falls for him.
