Stacy W. Arnold-Strider (writer/director)
Stacy studied film theory at San Francisco State University, then pursued her passion for film through an internship in the President's office of Lucasfilm Ltd., and two years at American Zoetrope during Francis Coppola’s productions of BRAM STOKER’S DRACULA and THE SECRET GARDEN.
After moving to Los Angeles, Stacy worked for filmmakers Jean-Jacque Annaud (SEVEN YEARS IN TIBET), Vincent Ward (WHAT DREAMS MAY COME), Roger Corman (BLACK SCORPION), and Steve Levitt in everything from development to post-production. She also assisted several industry executives, including Michael Ovitz in the President's office at The Walt Disney Company.
In 2002, Stacy returned to the San Francisco Bay Area, where she worked at Industrial Light & Magic as a temporary assistant to President Jim Morris, Sr. VP Patty Blau, and VP Jeff Mann, before eventually joining the ranks as receptionist. In 2004, she transferred to the Product Development team of Lucas Licensing, where she spent the next 12 years developing product for STAR WARS, STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS, ANGRY BIRDS STAR WARS, and INDIANA JONES.
To date, Stacy has completed four feature-length screenplays, with many more in development, garnering several honors and awards in competition.
FULFILLED: A HALLOWEEN STORY is Stacy’s first film and her homage to the greatest day of the year. When it premiered on ifilm, it was ranked by viewers as the #1 sci-fi short for 19 consecutive weeks. The following year, it was showcased on the Sci-Fi Channel as one of four Halloween shorts with Tim Burton's VINCENT.
