WGA, staff on 6 TV series. David has a passion for complex tales with deeply human themes at their core, and for characters whose many layers are revealed along the way. People often go cross-eyed when they discover his credits include comedy AND drama; including medical, police-procedural, sci-fi, thriller, even romance. Plagued by intellectual curiosity, David has sympathy for their confusion but not enough to stop pursuing new challenges. As a Silicon Valley escapee, David can make complicated technology accessible to the masses, without offending the rocket scientists in the audience. But he cares most about exploring the unquantifiable mysteries of the human experience, and chooses to believe that the more personal the story, the more universally it rings true. When not writing for film or television, David provides technical, legal or science/medical consultation for other projects in development. As David E. Kelley’s former legal researcher, David wrote an Amicus Brief for a 9th Circuit Federal Appeal. David’s first language is English, but he also speaks fluent Spanish. An avid reader of medical studies, when not reading or writing you can often find David wrenching on his car, or firing up the table saw.
