About Alison

Alison is a former actress, activist and creative writing tutor who has attended script development workshops with Raindance in London, Euroscript in Morocco, The Arvon Foundation in Devon and at a Writer’s Lab in Greece.
As a stand-up comic on London's comedy circuit, she used to write and perform all her own material and also set up The Fabulous Creative Writing Group: which she ran for ten years with homeless people in London.

She has had two stage plays: PARADISE IN PORTOBELLO and FEAR OF STRANGERS, performed at The Horse & Groom, Gt Portland Street, London and as a screenwriter Alison’s film and television scripts include: SALVATION HOUSE – an urban drama about addiction that was optioned by September Films; HOW NOT TO CHANGE YOUR BOYFRIEND – a feel-good comedy that made the semi-finals of Screenwriting Goldmine Competition; TOUGH LOVE – a drama that reached the semi-finals of BlueCat Screenwriting Competition; SIZE MATTERS - a (darkish) Rom-Com that won 1st prize in Our Lot Studios Screenwriting Competition; FREE BIRDS – a comedy road-trip movie performed as a rehearsed reading at The Phoenix Theatre’s Artist Club, Leicester Square and her current project: ROOTLESS – a quirky comedy-drama series exploring the roller-coaster lives of some colourful characters caught up in the homeless crisis.
