SYNOPSIS:

After 2,000 years of monotheism, a frustrated Zeus decides to make himself relevant again by fathering the fabled 10th Muse. To everyone’s surprise, it’s a boy named Nepenthe. With the help of the god of wine Dionysus, Nepenthe learns the blues chords and inspires an aspiring young guitar man named Robert Johnson to usher in the blues and rock ‘n’ roll revolution. When Robert fails to progress as expected, Nepenthe impersonates the Devil at the famed crossroads to make Robert believe he has made a deal with the Devil, which inspires him to new levels of greatness. As Robert’s music changes the world and he signs a recording contract with the actual Devil, Nepenthe shakes things up in the Muse palace, which pleases Zeus and makes the Muses relevant again. Audiences around the world will laugh and cry during this celebration of American music.
