Unjustly disciplined for disobeying orders, a brazen Navy hero is given a humiliating PR job as captain of the 200-year-old USS Constitution (“Old Ironsides”) on a Mediterranean goodwill tour, setting him on a course to redemption when he and his crew, with nothing but their floating museum and her antique weaponry, must rescue the U.S. Vice President from assassination by a large force of Islamic terrorists, climaxing in an epic battle reminiscent of the ship’s maiden mission.
