About Kathleen

Kathleen's former career was counseling hundreds of serial killers in a psychiatric hospital for the criminally insane. She also counseled thousands of homicidal patients. Eventually, the notorious events that occurred in the hospital resulted in demolition to forever bury the past.

After leaving the mental health field, Kathleen moved to an undeveloped Bahamian island with her husband and young children. During her 8 years on the island, she secretly watched the drug smuggling trade. Then, after leaving the island, she detailed some of her observations in a published young adult book, Awesome Summer, using the name CR Hof.

Upon Kathleen's return to the United States, she started to write screenplays. In order to understand the process, she spent 6 months as a volunteer Production Assistant on Flourish, Bible Battles and That Game of Chess.

For several years, Kathleen and her family lived off the grid in Alaska. During the long dark winter months and 24 hour long summer days, she wrote screenplays and started a successful handmade jewelry business.
