An injured wrestling veteran and his ambitious protege are seduced by an exotic new steroid only to learn that the side effects are mutating their DNA into the animals the serums are derived from.

BOBBY “SAMSON” ELIAS and HARD ROCK HARGROVE, baby face and heel, bitter rivals in the squared circle since they first came up. They’re at the top of their game in a steel cage match for the belt when it all comes crashing down.

Hard Rock’s temper and inability to stick to script on top of a possible steroid scandal cause his firing, and Bobby’s put into a hospital by a drunk driver.

Eager to jump into their boots, newcomer DINO DIPAULO can’t seem to attract the attention he craves in the sport he’s determined to dominate.

Enter DR. LILA NIGHTINGALE. Lila offers Hard Rock a devil’s bargain of a return to the wrestling world – fund her research into an animal DNA based serum and she’ll give him a stable of brutes that can beat any drug test devised.

Emotionally cold, Lila views her test subjects as little more than the animals she derives her serums from. Even her devoted assistant DAVID can’t really breach her defenses.

When Lila seduces Bobby into her program as an outside control subject, her healing serum puts him back on his feet just as Hard Rock’s Zoo Crew of truly bizarre wrestlers takes the sport by storm (and fang and claw) and sets the stage for a resumption of their hostility.

Impatient with Bobby’s slow and steady approach to training, Dino’s all too ready to jump ship when Hard Rock offers a shortcut. His defection serves to push Bobby into a determination to win back his title.

Dino soon learns that fast isn’t easy. Hard Rock’s wrestlers posture like a pack of animals, submitting to discipline reminiscent of the men creatures in The Island of Doctor Moreau, and terrifying their opponents in the ring with near-rabid behavior. Dino stifles a nudge of conscience and takes the formulas.

Lila has an ulterior motive, and it isn’t to build stronger fighters. A sociopath, she’s determined to isolate the aggression of testosterone and chemically neuter men into docile servants.

The inevitable collision of egos is accelerated when the jealous David alters Lila’s formulas to make the animal traits dominant and permanent.

When Hard Rock breaks his own rules he loses control of the pack. The drug maddened beast-men rampage through the arena inciting a Last Man Standing contest where losing means death.

As Bobby battles Hard Rock in their own grudge match, Dino finally rethinks his choices. But his decision to get out comes too late. He’s subjected to the new formula and morphs into a true man-beast.

A remorseful Dino teams up with Bobby in the free-for-all that neither can afford to lose, and both are afraid to win. To get the women they love to safety and put an end to Lila’s menagerie one or both may forfeit his life.
