THE BROTHERHOOD
By Pat Semler

GENRE: Action
LOGLINE:

Feuding military brothers find themselves on opposite sides in a bogus hostage situation. If they can't find a way to work together both teams are doomed.

SYNOPSIS:

The oldest and youngest of the Manetti family, Frank and Joey, are Navy SEALs. Middle brother Tony is a Marine who changed his name to Mann to distance himself from the family to be his own man.

Hunting drug runners in the tropics Joey and Tony reignite a personal feud that's kept them apart for 10 years. It seems they always manage to catch lower echelon leaders but never the big man. The big man happens to be stateside, working as a high level IT tech to the military and using their data bases to avoid or subvert tactical operations around his drug supply lines.

He's furious at Frank's SEAL team for destroying an operation that was supposed to take out Tony's Marine squad and vows retribution. He seeks a new supplier, sounding out an entrepreneur in Korea.

Frank's getting ready to retire from active service when a situation in Korea prompts his commander to ask for one final mission. Hostages have been taken on the DMZ and the situation demands a discrete rescue operation. The team drops into an ambush. Two men killed, Frank seriously wounded. Joey takes the team to a monastery to hide while they try to determine what happened and find a way out.

It happens that Tony's Marines have been detailed to support the local South Korean commander who is more interested in setting up a drug empire. Both teams have been set up as sacrificial lambs to gain control of DMZ borderland for poppy fields.

Getting out will require the brothers to resolve their differences and work together. But with peacemaker Frank out of commission can Joey and Tony get past their rivalry?
