Matt Hodgkinson is a writer, producer and director, born and raised in Perth. Matt has worked on everything from short films and high end TVCs to big-budget feature films, receiving credits for The Wolverine, I, Frankenstein, Paper Planes and H is for Happiness as well as many others. His work has taken him all over Australia and to Canada, allowing him to build strong relations with production companies around the world.
Matt is being supported by Screenwest for the development of animated series, Wild Ambitions, which he co-created. He produced the short film Tent Girl and is currently in post-production on the Screenwest/Screen Australia-funded production The Curse of Baba Yaga while his short film Match Made, which he directed, is about to make its festival debut.
Matt’s interests lie in the development and production of projects of all sorts, but he has a soft spot for genre stories that have both heart and something to say. He currently has a number of (mainly SciFi) projects in various stages of development.
