I am presently looking for indie film or indie series acting work. I am SAG/AFTRA. It would be great to work with an ensemble of talented individuals who are ready to take things to the next level. It's often been said that there's a "more level playing field" than ever before. Let's play in that field and earn a good living too.
I began doing improv back in high school (New York) and cowrote my first comedy piece with a few friends. I took to music for many years and one day a director I was working for insisted on putting me on stage. No worries. I loved it. Later I did stand up, seat-of-your-pants improv for a live audience of 300+ people every week and there's no better way to hone ones craft, believe me. On to original stage theater pieces and my first industrial film which won an award that year at an industrial festival. Sweet! I then moved to Los Angeles and booked a dozen or so commercials/print jobs, some TV and film too, feature length and shorts, and learned my way around the camera. I have extensive training in theater, scene study, improv and voice, but most importantly I have experience in the professional arena and this is where I am most comfortable. I'm in shape, can do a 16 hour day with ease and love every minute of it. I directed a short piece for my friends so they could book a TV cooking/reality show and it did the job. I know my way around a set and love helping to solve problems on the fly should they arise (and they will...trust me). I have a simple, humble but potent home recording studio and I've gotten really good at writing great riffs and turning them into better songs. I love the collaboration that is film making and I'm passionate about working with people that love what they do as well, after all, for a short time we're family, we're a team and we rise and fall together. Let us rise together and make some great art.
