HIDE & SEEK

HIDE & SEEK
By David Andrew Hall

GENRE: Thriller, Drama
LOGLINE:

With the help of his brothers, a very sexually perverted Paul kidnaps and keeps women hostage in an old rehabbed missile silo with multiple levels. In the next silo over, Jerry, a psychotic maniac, has women of his own. Paul has made the girls very comfortable as he lies and tells the ones with him that the world was hit by a large meteorite and has ended. Jerry just chains them to the walls. As Paul keeps his lies alive, he allows them to move about and thinks all is well until Katrina (on level 7) seems to have mental issues. Suzanne (on level 3) enjoys taunting her and Ann (on level 5) is more than content to just make what life they have, the best it can be. After Paul and Suzanne venture outside in latex hazmat suits, Paul fakes the shooting of Jerry to make Suzanne believe that all people outside are now half brain dead as they wander about in a stupor. Suzanne returns to the silo in a panic only to find that Katrina has killed Ann and now turns her anger to Suzanne. After defeating Katrina and escaping the silo, Suzanne finds Paul in a house that has cable TV and the news shows that she is missing and presumed kidnapped. Jerry keeps her from killing Paul with a knife and she is quickly drugged, but they are unsure if she will remember the event. Jerry then takes her to live with him in his silo and when Paul returns to his silo, he is attacked by a still alive Katrina unaware that Ann is dead.

SYNOPSIS:

Wearing hazmat suit over his latex catsuit, Paul brings and unconscious Katrina into her level in a repurposed missile silo. She is unconscious inside a black body bag. He bathes her before he puts her to bed before he goes up to his level where Ann awaits his return. He eats as she decontaminates the supplies he has returned with. Ann later tells him that she is pregnant. Paul wears a latex suit down to Katrina’s level, and as the elevator doors open, Katrina attacks him with a fire extinguisher. Paul and Katrina have a scuffle and Paul is able to dose her with Valium and restrains her in bed.

The next day, Paul brings Suzanne into a new level as before with Katrina. Paul returns to Katrina’s level where Paul tells her of the meteor that has struck and the devastation it caused. Paul then releases Katrina who talks him into having sex with her while she is still drugged. Paul returns to Suzanne’s level where she questions the validity of the situation. Paul brings food stuffs while wearing his hazmat suit as Katrina now wears a leotard that was left for her as her only clothing. Paul gives her a latex suit to wear with the plans that she will be getting a hazmat suit to help him forage above ground for supplies. They end up having sex again and she tells him that she never wants children and that the human race should end before asking for drugs to get high.

Paul returns to his level and gets Ann up to speed on everything that has happened with both girls. Ann suggests Katrina either get put out or a lobotomy. Katrina’s manic depression is becoming evident. Paul brings her hazmat suit, but she doesn’t follow instructions and they argue, so he takes her hazmat suit with as he leaves. Paul goes to Suzanne’s level and they talk before he finds she isn’t restrained. He explains more of the situation to her and tells him that she’s only 15. He gives her a latex suit. She questions the validity of his meteor story, they discuss morals, and she assaults him. Paul leaves pissed and hurt to his level as Suzanne is yelling from above calling him a pervert. When he gets to his level, Ann hears Suzanne and makes him go back to end it. Suzanne realizes the situation and accepts her fault as she makes it up to him while wearing her latex suit.

Paul goes up the surface for maintenance of the winf turbine, but goes over to Jerry’s silo and drinks beer while they talk while watching an old superbowl game recording. By accident while talking, Suzanne gets into the elevator and is taken to Ann’s level. Ann sends her back and Suzanne memorizes the code. She returns and they talk before messing around in bed. As Paul is returning, Suzanne goes down to Katrina’s level where they get into an argument. Paul finds her there and leaves an angry Katrina behind as he and Suzanne head up to the surface. Suzanne tells him that Katrina needs medication. Paul tells her that he already sees it.

At the surface in haz-mat suits, Paul and Suzanne walk down the hill to an old farmhouse. Jerry is seen walking along without a suit on. Paul has a rifle with him and it appears that he shoots Jerry dead because he’s infected with radiation poisoning (that the girls were supposed to have had) and Suzanne is hit with the reality that her world isn’t fun and games anymore. She begs Paul to let her go back to the safety of the silo and he allows her to go. Katrina has now gotten to Ann’s level and they begin to fight with a makeshift weapon that Suzanne had left behind in the elevator. When Suzanne returns to Ann’s level to tell her about Jerry, Katrina attacks her and is knocked out by Suzanne. Ann is found dying and a distraught Suzanne goes back out to find Paul. She is attacked by Katrina again in the elevator.

Suzanne gets her haz-mat suit back on and gets into the farmhouse where she finds Paul’s dead mother in a bedroom. Suzanne removes her haz-mat suit and finds Paul in his bedroom surfing the web. She is about to attack him with a knife when Jerry gets behind her and gets her to drop the knife. Paul locates a sedative while Jerry drags Suzanne into the living room. They knock her out and the mailman shows up, but hears nothing. Paul gets a package from the porch that was a dress for suzanne and is upset because now, she’ll never believe anything.

The police show up looking for Jerry because he had escaped prison 2 months prior, but they don’t have a warrant and are sent off even though one of them is a 3rd brother with partner. Jerry returns to his silo with an unconscious Suzanne to find that Ann’s twin Abby has broken her own neck and is dead by the chain that had held her to the wall, where a flashback shows it as it happened. A number of other women are also chained to the wall. Jerry chains the unconscious Suzanne in Abby’s place stating that now, she is his favorite.

The sequel/prequel ‘Hide & Seek II’ shows Jerry’s prison escape and where the other women came from.
