About Dustin

Dustin writes action/adventure screenplays that focus on fish-out-of-water characters. He is passionate about creating original stories that reflect society today and younger generations' perspectives while invoking discussion on what it means to be human and staying true to yourself. His screenplays have placed in several screenwriting contests, film festivals, and lists, including the Red List, Launch Pad, PAGE, and Final Draft's Big Break.

He is the Director of Web Media Services at the Burbank International Film Festival. BIFF continues to cultivate independent film to create, develop, discover, and celebrate extraordinary filmmaking from around the world. He loves helping, celebrating, and connecting with other filmmakers and writers on their journeys to their dreams.

He has an Associate of Science in Film, Television, and Electronic Media, a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Media Studies, and a Minor in Women's and Gender Studies from Sonoma State University.

He is the creator of Bad Reception, a YouTube Channel that focuses on raising awareness of an underrepresented neurological syndrome called Visual Snow, which has become quite successful in the VS community and works alongside the non-profit Visual Snow Initiative.

Dustin had the honor of working on Bumblebee (2018) and Bill & Ted Face the Music (2020).
