Matt Clutterham, began a love of live entertainment, watching shows in his high-chair from the control position at the Marlowe Repertory Theatre in Canterbury. After stints working in some of the UK’s best known regional and West End venues, he launched his freelance career which began at just nineteen as Head of Lighting on the UK tour of Joseph. Many UK tours followed and he was soon heading-up teams on numerous international theatre productions and corporate presentations.

In 2006, Matt Launched MattLX Group. An integrated turn-key lighting service specialising in bringing theatrical flair and design ethics to events and business communication and a corporate grade service to theatre.

MattLX Group is now an established supplier of lighting design and production engineering services to a wide range of industries and clients, with many projects receiving critical acclaim. We have been associated with some of the World’s top Theatre productions and brought our creativity and project management skills into live Business Communication, Product and Promotional Marketing.

Our clients includes; designers, production managers, marketing agencies, branding and fashion agencies, event organisers, production houses, venues and AV suppliers. We have built a reputation for innovative, unique concepts and service, delivering projects that may include anything from just a few lamps to launch the latest fashion ‘must-have’ to a rig suitable for a major theatre production or an arena event.

MattLX's business portfolio also includes Safety Management and Industry skills training services and a Special Projects team providing ‘Outside-the-Box’ lighting to complement our design and project management credentials.

Matt now leads the MattLX team he created and remains hands-on with all company projects, ensuring that the company maintains and exceeds his vision of creative, technical excellence.
