GENRE: Fantasy, Comedy
LOGLINE:

An audacious exotic dancer at the top of her game, Margret -35- lives a seductive lifestyle laced with glamour and excitement. Reality takes hold as Margret's fading youth, addictions, and denial force her anxious and ill-tempered childhood teddy bear to awaken and take matters into his own paws.

SYNOPSIS:

Based on the short film - written by the same screenwriter, Chris Griffin - titled "Grow the Fuck Up!". Here's a link to the original short film, https://angrybearfilms.com/gro...

“Stuffed!”, a dark comedy, follows two main characters, Margret Sapphire and Mr. Gregory, her teddy bear.

The product of an upper-middle class family catastrophe, Margret, who earned a degree in architecture, lost her way after her father's suicide. Distraught and cynical, Margret instead stumbled into a career as an exotic dancer, and succumbed to drug and gambling addictions. In a world of money, sex and intrigue; Margret was like a kid in a candy store.

Over the course of thirty years, poor Mr. Gregory had witnessed every awkward stage in Margret's dysfunctional life. Margret dragged him to work, to parties, and kept him close by on her night stand table, while she entertained her male suiters. A magic toy built specifically for Margret, Mr. Gregory finally lost his shit, and came to life one night. Mr. Gregory's lack of social graces and the unbelievability of his existence, only made matters worse, as Margret began to question her sanity, and the effects of continued cocaine usage on her fragile mind.

The world of “Stuffed!” invites the audience into a world of strip-clubs, casinos, movie stars and karaoke bars. Margret has cunningly constructed for herself a world distant from that of everyday reality. Her lifestyle as well as her art – photography and painting – are the perfect means to forget the past and avoid the future.

The true irony in the story comes from the “magic” that forces Margret to face reality. Mr. Gregory was constructed and delivered by Santa Claus to a five year old Margret. The mystical world that forged the bear, is no less twisted than Margret's, and Mr. Gregory must also come to grips with his origins and the potential consequences of speaking to humans.

Both characters struggle against their fear of the unknown, while wrecking havoc on their paths to self- realization. In the end, the love shared between the friends is the driving force that leads to their growth and salvation.
