Joél Mejia is a New York City based creative director and producer, who is dedicated to the idea that art is a tool for social change and personal development. His artistic vision is rooted in equal access and rights for all, and his creative ambitions extend beyond filmmaking to include youth mentoring, music production and environmental sustainability. Mr. Mejia’s work has a dynamic range, and while influenced by a DIY urban aesthetic that has become popular for independent filmmakers in the 21st century, his work has a unique signature, one that he is continually developing as new technologies emerge.
