About Tracy

Award-winning director, author, and speaker, and Tracy J Trost’s filmmaking technique has rendered him one of the most recognizable independent filmmakers in the industry. The first three films that he co-wrote and directed, Find Me, A Christmas Snow and The Lamp, have won numerous awards including Best Feature, Best Actor, and Best of Festival and have created a wave of audience appreciation and critical acclaim. His follow-up to these instant classics, 77 Chances, which he wrote and directed was produced in a partnership with Liberty University’s Cinematic Arts Program.


His work has taken him coast to coast and to 78 countries throughout the world. He has directed and produced live events that have been broadcast live internationally to more than 200 countries and been attended by hundreds of thousands of people. He has even brought a theatrical adaptation of the movie “A Christmas Snow” in the form of stage play to the stage in Branson, Missouri.


In addition to filmmaking, Trost has become an established and well-respected author with his second book, Just Believe: 10 Principles of the Message, being released nationwide alongside his film The Lamp. Just Believe is a companion book to the film and follows the story of the main character Stanley Walters. His first book, Restored: 11 Gifts for a Complete Life, was released nationally and was written as one of the main character’s (Sam’s) journal from his second film, A Christmas Snow. Trost is currently writing his third book; “The Path” and plans to release in 2020.

Trost brings more than 20 years of award-winning television production experience to his the world of fundraising for the world’s top non-profits. He and his team in which he and his team have produced the creative strategy and television commercials for such clients as; Shriners Hospitals for Children, The American Red Cross, Wounded Warrior Project, Disabled American Veterans, March of Dimes, Smile Train, and The American Legion.



Always wanting to motivate people to live at their greatest potential, Trost has produced a series of motivational podcasts entitled “The Successful Life Mindset” in which he helps the listener explore the effects of mindset, choice, and decision making in their lives. His studies in Neuroscience have given him an understanding of why we do what we do from a scientific perspective.


Through his films, books, shows, and speaking engagements, Tracy desires to inspire people to follow their dreams and take actionable steps to live to their greatest potential.
