Vasilis Milesis is a greek composer,currently living in Athens, Greece.
He has two Diplomas as a “Specialist in Information Technology Applications” and as a “Specialist in Multimedia Applications”. At the present, he is a pre-graduate student of the Music Department in the University of Athens. In addition, he has participated in the 3-year seminar «Film Scoring», organized by Alexandros Kalogeras and Alexandros Mouzas.
In 2012, he was accepted with a scholarship at Berklee College of Music in Valencia, in «Music for Film, TV and Games» Master Program that starts on this September for the first time.
He has worked as an arranger in theatrical performances as well as a music composer for advertising productions. He has participated in many international festivals (like Viba Fest in Argentina) and in international composing competitions, where he took distinctions and awards in the “music for film” and “music for commercials” categories.
He is also an electric guitar teacher for the last 8 years.
In 2010, he composed music for two movies for the Michael Cacoyannis Foundation and its 1st Silent Movies Festival: The Buster Keaton’s “Balloonatic” and “The Phantom of the Opera”. At the same year, he composed music for the main advertising campaign of Odeon production company.
In 2011, he composed music for the 2nd Michael Cacoyannis Silent Movies Festival, as he was ordered to write music for the movie “Faust”. His last music for film was for the 3rd Michael Cacoyannis Silent Movies Festival and » The Scarlet Letter».
