I'm a professional writer and editor and children's author based in London UK. (I can't see an option for writers here so have selected 'screenwriter'...!) I have three children's books out, the first of which - The Secret Lake - would, I believe, make an excellent film.

The Secret Lake - a 'time-slip' mystery adventure set in London's Notting Hill in which Stella (11) and Tom (8), when trying to find their elderly garden neighbor's missing dog, discover a tunnel and lake that take them to their home and the children living there 100 years in the past. As the story unravels they make both friends and enemies, and uncover some startling connections between the past and present. Of notable interest is how many children enthuse about how visually exciting they find the read. I think it would make an excellent children's film - or made-for-TV short series.
