About Michael

Michael Picarella is a content creator.

He's written and directed two feature films, "1 2 3" and "Punchcard Player," several short films, TV commercials and viral ads. He worked as a journalist for over a decade -- as a newsman, a features writer and a critically acclaimed columnist. And he edited actress Diane Franklin's autobiography, “Diane Franklin: The Excellent Adventures of the Last American French Exchange Babe of the 80s." He's now at work on a book of his own, a collection of stories from his family humor column.

Picarella has also branded and re-branded numerous organizations while in the marketing field, and he created engaging marketing content, including web and print copy, and marketing tools for businesses and entrepreneurs. His viral ad campaign was inducted into MarketingSherpa's Viral Hall of Fame in 2007.

Picarella's work has been featured in films festivals, on the Drudge Report and in marketing journals. He's a member of the National Society of Newspaper Columnists.

Picarella has worn many hats in the film industry over the years on movies like "Fast and Furious" and "Get Him to the Greek." He's currently writing a TV movie that he hopes will be made soon. Following that project, he's slated to write an independent feature that he may or may not direct.
