About Niam
I lead the acquisitions process to buy documentary / factual content for TRT World and TRT Arabi, Turkey's official English and Arabic Language News Channels. I am a Lebanese American Filmmaker, whose films have shown at prestigious festivals worldwide such as the Venice Film Festival, Edinburgh International and Seattle International Film Festivals, among others. I previously worked as a programs producer at Al Jazeera Media Network in Qatar for 5 years, and made independent films for several years before joining TRT World in Istanbul in September 2017. I hold an MFA in Screenwriting from Hollins University and an MA and a BA from the Lebanese American University in Beirut.
