About Renée

Writer, producer, director of award-winning film and TV content and made waves in immersive storytelling developing a scripting template for VR and 360 experiences. Now in a writing phase - 1 book on sale, the 2nd book with editors and 12 flyers for features and series on a slate with scripts pending. Loglines, flyers and 1 pagers can be made available.

I have a 'no sacred cows' approach to writing and love to push boundaries with original and unique characters. Iguess you could describe my style and interest as more Sideways than Star Wars.

Here's one of those more formal 3rd person blurbs:

A graduate of UTS, Australia with a Master of Creative Arts (documentary and VR) and a Bachelor of Arts Macquarie University (screen and media studies) Renée Brack is an acclaimed storyteller, journalist, writer and screen professional with 20+ years experience in film TV, print and digital. She has written, produced and directed short films; scripted and directed plays produced in the world’s largest play festival, Short+Sweet; has pioneered research into a scripting template for immersive content (VR, CVR, 360) originated by filmmaker Elia Petridis of Fever Content, LA and scripted the award-winning short film Red Handed which has screened in multiple international film festivals.

She has a development slate of female-centric stories for screen as well as a feature documentary Ticketyboo: a Secret in Plain Sight about innovative, artistic, compassionate design to help people engage with dementia. She gives back to the filmmaking community by nurturing the next wave of screen professionals as an EP and creative consultant on a wide range of award-winning films, documentary and web series, overseeing production from concept to transmission.

A common response to her writing is, “I’ve never looked at it that way before” – testament to her creative and fresh approach to the stories she crafts.

Unique traits: Can deliver quality content to outrageous deadlines. Was nicknamed the 'it's still good!' girl for her optimism and ability to turn a minus into a plus. No sacred cows.
