Romain Battaglia is a composer, sound mixer and sound designer who works on films, commercials, animations and other media-related projects.
After graduating from the Institute of Audio Research (NY, NY) - with Honors in audio engineering - learning music theory at the New School in New York and graduating from NYU in sound design, Romain started to work as a composer and as a sound designer/ sound mixer on various film and theater productions. He also engineered many sessions in various recording studios and live venues. His love for films and music eventually materialized in the form of a film composer career. New York's vibrant cultural life proved to be the perfect place to explore many different creative alleys.
His work has been heard in numerous festivals worldwide such as Cannes, Burning Man, Big Apple Film Festival (NYC), Queens World Film Festival (NYC), Soho International Film Festival (NYC), Riverside International Film Festival, Barebones International Film Festival, Cinequest Film Festival (San Jose), Raindance (London), etc. Tracks coming from his own music library are also licensed on a regular basis.
Always looking forward to challenge the odds and to walk the extra mile, Romain's constant willingness to explore new music and film alleys offered him the chance to work extensively on numerous projects, thus bringing his scoring and sound design/ mixing abilities to embrace many different directions.
