Mark has been a professional freelance Director since 2008, working in drama, music video, high-end corporate content, brand and commercial content, documentary, and broadcast. He’s also a Writer and Director of highly-regarded drama short films and is now gearing up for long-form drama projects, with his own feature film scripts as well as an aim to enter episodic/TV work. In 2017 he was selected for the Directors UK/Channel X shadowing scheme for the BBC’s So Awkward, for which he directed selected scenes for broadcast, and he’s currently in the running for a TV drama reconstruction production.
Mark otherwise has four feature films heavily in late development and packaging: survival horror Delayed (which Mark was commissioned to writer by producer Chris Action and to which he is also attached as Director), relationship thriller The Siren, The Captain, The Sea, action/thriller Teardrop, horror The Weave and psychological period thriller Chastity.
His short films have played globally in competition, and his early film Facial gained a distribution deal with Shorts International at Cannes 2012. Thriller/horror short film Skin (2013) is distributed on leading horror website Bloodydisgusting.com as part of World Of Death. Recent dramatic shorts are Ferried and Animus (2017), and latest short NEON - a high concept, ambitious fantasy thriller - which had a successful run on the international festival circuit, including at Oscar-qualifying Hollyshorts 2017 and BAFTA-qualifying Aesthetica Short Film Festival 2017. NEON also screened ahead of a feature film at the famous Prince Charles Cinema in Leicester Square, London.
