Sasha Sibley is a young up-and-coming filmmaker in Los Angeles who has directed numerous short films and is currently in post-production on his first feature film The Box. His achievements have been recognized at various film festivals, among them Dances With Films and WorldFest-Houston (where he won a Platinum Remi-Award for his short film Thirteen), as well as student film festivals like the TIVA-DC Peer Awards (where Sibley took home a Peer-Gold trophy for his short, Water).

Years later he tells his friend of this story and of how he regrets not taking one of these amazing opportunities. On his way home he is abruptly struck by lightning. He opens his eyes to find himself in a large car owned by the very criminals who offered him to become their leader. The lightning brought him to an alternate reality of what his life would have been like had he enlisted in the mafia. Later, on their way to a warehouse, they are ambushed by a SWAT team, and just before being brutally shot to death Tim is struck by lightning a second time. This time he wakes up in a hot tub in a glorious mansion; he is the investor. This alternate reality seems perfect until Tim realizes that he lives alone and recently tried to commit suicide due to suffering from depression. He is struck down again, by lightning.
