Living with Coats’ Disease, Spencer can only see out of one eye, giving him a unique perspective and view of the world and of filmmaking itself. He grew up with a passion for the expressive and creative arts due to his difference in vision, and is only one of few who can say he has been hit in the eye with a baseball, can use sign language conversationally, won a Most Spirited award in a college spelling bee, lives My Big Fat Greek Wedding daily as a goofy Greek-American, has wrangled over 75 kids on a professional film set by himself, and is a board-certified music therapist (MT-BC).
