About Jeanette

Jeanette Johnson- Greenwood is a native Texan born in Fort Worth, TX. Jeanette Johnson-Greenwood is a writer/director/producer and CEO of a nonprofit organization, Headline Mentors & Performing Arts. Jeanette founded Headline Mentors & Performing Arts dba HMPA Inc. in 2009 and has actively served the community since. Jeanette Greenwood works as mentor in performing art and work both with youth and adults. Jeanette Greenwood successfully packed the house with her first hit stage play “STAND” which debut in Arlington, TX at the Bob Duncan Center. She later produced and directed several other productions that drew large crowds.

Jeanette has had no formal degrees in Theater/Film, however she has 20 years experience in writing and producing her productions as well as taking a few coursed in college. Her love for the arts started at the age of 5 when she sung her very first song " All I want for Christmas is my Two Front Teeth" in a stage play at her elementary school. Jeanette has a Masters Degree in Adult Education & Training which helps her in mentoring and offering basic acting opportunities to those she mentor.

Jeanette Greenwood currently collaborates with the Community Youth Development program working with at-risk youth in the 76106/76164 on the Northside of Fort Worth, TX. The program teaches life-skills with a twist…”ACTING”. She has incorporated both life skills and acting which has been a huge success in the community. Program funding is provided via a grant funded by the Department of Family Protective Services (DFPS).

Jeanette Greenwood is also the leader of an anti-bullying crusade “Don’t Bully ME!-The Crusade” which launched September 2013. Jeanette Greenwood has produced 5 successful stage plays, Stand, I Didn’t Ask to be Here, Don’t Take My Joy…Again, What She Won’t Do…I Will!, Don’t Bully ME! and working on her most recent production “Fire & Desire”. Fire & Desire is a dual project she’s currently working which consists of a Stage Play & her first Movie. The play debuted August 29, 2014 and the movie projected release date is
1st Quarter of 2016.
