Tyler Ruggeri is a screenwriter and story consultant with over a decade of experience on both sides of the entertainment industry.
A graduate of Emerson College, Tyler began his career as a talent manager at Exile Entertainment, where he represented screenwriters and directors in addition to developing the company’s slate of projects. While at Exile, he signed filmmaker Damien Chazelle and helped secure distribution for Chazelle’s first feature GUY & MADELINE ON A PARK BENCH, as well as advising on the scripts that would become the Academy Award-winning WHIPLASH and LA LA LAND. Other projects he developed with clients sold to A-list producers/financiers and were awarded by the Black List and Nicholl Fellowships.
After six years at Exile, Tyler then transitioned into screenwriting. His first script THE MAKING OF ROCK HUDSON sold to veteran producers Celine Rattray and Trudie Styler of Maven Pictures. He also adapted the critically acclaimed book TRAPPED UNDER THE SEA, which led to writing assignments for both major studios and independent producers.
Apart from feature films, Tyler has written advertising and web content for companies such as Baseline and Tool of North America. He also works as a consultant for indie shorts and features, with a focus on shaping both the project itself and the filmmaker's individual voice.
