Just felt like pulling this together and sharing.

I believe that I was 13 years old here. An interesting story (I think) is that I learned at a very young age to literally "transform" into my character. There have been performances (even rehearsals and auditions) that I honestly do not remember the details because I was 1000% into character. I think they call it actor's amnesia--something like that. Well, my characters will totally consume me for several weeks (sometimes months) and I have a ritual that I perform after the last official show. I come home, look in the bathroom mirror, and announce to myself that I am "washing off my character". And then I take a really long shower. GONE! Well, wouldn't you know that, two days after I washed off Gertrude, I had an opportunity to audition as her with another company!! Same script! Same solos! I wouldn't do it. I couldn't do it. My parents were so confused. I said goodbye to Gertrude. She was gone. (:

It probably doesn't do me favors to share this but it shows my dedication to the arts at only 12 years old.

I am so honored that the Packers asked me back to entertain their guests at this charity luncheon for the Bart and Cherry Starr Foundation. Please say a prayer for Bart is his health is failing.
