Doug is a seasoned entertainment industry veteran whose career has encompassed many aspects of the business. Doug's clients are currently Executive Producing shows on Netflix and Amazon - including the Netflix original series "RAISING DION". He represents both established writers and writers who are new to features and television. Doug was a talent agent at the Agency for the Performing Arts where he represented Danny DeVito and John Candy among others. He later served as a Vice President at both United Artists Pictures and Lorimar Films before venturing out as an independent producer and personal manager. As a producer Doug was responsible for Columbia Pictures’ FOOLS RUSH IN, SPY HARD starring Leslie Nielsen; and the independent dramedy, LOVE COMES TO THE EXECUTIONER starring Jeremy Renner, and PURE COUNTRY 2. In the world of television movies Doug co-executive produced for NBC, ABC, Showtime, 20th Television and Fox Broadcasting. We're back in the Writers' Room with for the Executive Hour Webcast with Producer Mike Sammaciccia, who produced the Emmy-nominated project, "SURVIVE" for Jeffrey Katzenberg, which starred Sophie Turner and Corey Hawkins. He was SVP of live-action movies and series for Nickelodeon for many years, producing 4-5 live action and animated movies per year. In 2012, Baer raised a 7-figure development fund and launched Gidden Media, a content incubation and production company. Its first film was the romantic drama MARY SHELLEY, starring Elle Fanning. Amy spent the previous 17 years at Sony Pictures Entertainment, where she oversaw such hit films as MY BEST FRIEND'S WEDDING, Oscar nominated ADAPTATION, S.W.A.T., SOMETHING'S GOTTA GIVE, and THE PURSUIT OF HAPPYNESS, which earned Will Smith an Oscar nomination.
