Chris is an accomplished TV Development Executive, helping to develop and sell pilots to CBS, ABC, and NBC. Most recently he was the Director of Development at AfterPortsmouth Productions (Ken Olin, EP/Director of NBC’s THIS IS US) where he sourced, packaged, and developed an expanding slate of TV projects in broadcast, cable, and streaming. Their procedural series TRACKER, starring THIS IS US star Justin Hartley was greenlit for pilot production in Fall 2022 for CBS while their ABC pilot is in active development. Prior to that he was on the development team for former showrunner Peter Lenkov, whose reboots of HAWAII FIVE-0, MAGNUM P.I., and MACGYVER reached millions of viewers over their successful series runs. During this time, Chris worked closely with both Studio and Network executives developing procedural series through their overall deal with CBS-TVS. Prior to working in Scripted Development, he worked in the TV Lit Department at CAA and in the unscripted space at a branded entertainment start-up called Populus Brands. A Hudson Valley native, Chris graduated from Tufts University in Medford, MA with degrees in Classics and Communications and Media Studies, while also running the college’s TV station, TUTV. Q: What is the format of a webinar?
A: Stage 32 Next Level Webinars are typically 90-minute educational broadcasts that take place online using a designated software program from Stage 32. Your webinar will be taught by a working industry professional with in-depth teaching on a topic. If you are able to attend live you will be able to ask your Stage 32 Educator questions during Q&A.
Q: What are the system requirements to watch my webinar live?
A: You will need to meet the following system requirements in order to run the webinar software: Windows 7 or later Mac OS X 10.9 (Mavericks) or later.
If you have Windows XP, Windows Vista and Mac OS X 10.9 (Mountain Lion): The webinar software does not support these operating systems. If you are running one of those operating systems, please upgrade now in order to be able to view a live webinar. Upgrade your Windows computer / Upgrade your Mac computer.
Q: What if I cannot attend the live webinar?
A: If you cannot attend a live webinar or purchase an on demand webinar, you will have access to the entire recorded broadcast, including the Q&A.
Q: Will I have access to the webinar afterward to re-watch?
A: Yes! Like all Stage 32 education, after the purchase of a live or on demand webinar, you will have on-demand access to the recording.
Q: How do I get a copy of the handouts provided?
A: If the webinar you take included handouts you can find them as downloads underneath your on demand video. You must be logged into your Stage 32 profile to view the video and get the handouts by clicking settings in the top right hand corner, then clicking purchase history.

The Exec Hour with David Brownfield
The Exec Hour brought one of the most experienced television development executives working today directly into the room with Stage 32 writers and creators. David Brownfield served as Senior Vice President of Current Programming at CBS for nine years — overseeing the creative development of over 20 scripted series per season, including CSI, NCIS, THE GOOD WIFE, THE BIG BANG THEORY, and HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER. He later led creative and production teams for seven Primetime series at Dick Wolf Entertainment, the powerhouse behind the LAW AND ORDER, ONE CHICAGO, and FBI franchises. Writers came away with an inside look at how television gets developed, championed, and sustained at the highest level of the network and streaming landscape. What made David's perspective especially valuable was the full range of what he has done inside the industry — from comedy writing on BOY MEETS WORLD and THE DREW CAREY SHOW, to overseeing current programming at CBS, to developing and selling dramas and comedies across broadcast, cable, and streaming through his production deal at CBS Television Studios. The Executive Hour with Daniel Sol, Co-Founder of Hollyshorts
We're back in the Writers' Room for The Executive Hour with Daniel Sol, Co-Founder of Hollyshorts. Daniel Sol is the co-founder and co-director of the Oscar-qualifying Hollyshorts Film Festival and formerly a theatrical sales executive for Lionsgate. With a passion for film and filmmaking since childhood, Daniel decided to move to California in 2000 with an interest in the film business. After working on commercial productions as a production assistant for Tony Kaye Films and then acting in various films, he gained an understanding of the filmmaking process. After graduating at Cal State Northridge in 2006, he realized that young filmmakers had very little access to industry professionals, and few options for screening their films. And thus, the HollyShorts Film Festival was born. Now in its 13th year, HollyShorts has quickly become the most influential short film festival in Los Angeles, with Daniel guiding it as Festival Director and lead programmer for the festival and the HollyShorts Monthly Screening Series, which takes place each month at the TCL Chinese 6 Theatres. Aside from HollyShorts, Sol also battled daily with domestic exhibitors as a theatrical sales executive at Lionsgate from 2008-2014. Mr. Sol is also the co founder of the premium Roku, Amazon Fire TV, and Apple TV content channel BITPIX (www.bitpixtv.com).
