Jeremy Garelick is a director, writer, and producer, and co-founder of American High, an innovative production company specializing in provocative teen comedies. After getting his start at CAA, Jeremy learned the ropes as an assistant to the legendary writer/director, Joel Schumacher throughout the productions of Tigerland, Bad Company, Phone Booth, and Veronica Guerin. Jeremy made his feature screenplay debut with the Vince Vaughn and Jennifer Aniston vehicle The Break-Up and quickly followed its success by teaming up with Todd Phillips to pen the production draft of The Hangover. In 2015, Garelick was named to Variety’s ‘10 Directors to Watch’ list following his directorial debut, The Wedding Ringer starring Kevin Hart and Josh Gad. In 2019, he created, executive produced and directed all 8 episodes of the award winning Netflix show, Best.Worst.Weekend.Ever as well as Executive Producing the Youtube Red hit, SideSwiped, all while forming his production company, American High. In just five years — and despite a pandemic — American High has released 15 movies. Its first film, Banana Split (2018), premiered at the Los Angeles Film Festival and received a nomination for the US Fiction Award for Best Film. The following year, American High’s Big Time Adolescence (2019) premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, earning a prestigious Grand Jury Prize nomination. The highly anticipated I Love My Dad (2022) amassed several accolades at the SXSW Film Festival including the Grand Jury Award in the Narrative Feature Competition.
