About Yuri

Hi my name's Yuri. It means "farmer" in Russian. Only I'm not Russian. Neither are either of my parents. I've given up trying to figure out what they were thinking, because somehow my name fits me.

In 2013 I placed in the top ten in the Writer's Store Industry Insider Screenwriting Contest. I followed that up with a top three placing in the 2015 Final Draft Big Break Contest with my action/thriller "Blowback."" This year I made the top ten in the Final Draft Big Break Contest with my action spec "The Reclaimed."

When I am not trying to become a better writer I am on the golf course or on a run.
